Spectronight · Digital Night Vision

You can't dial for darkness.

Spectronight is CEBAR's digital low-light and fusion line, carried by X-Ring Precision. An image tube amplifies whatever light is already there. A digital sensor doesn't depend on it — which is why these published detection ranges hold steady from full moon down to overcast, no-moon dark.

What actually happens when the light goes

Read down the ladder. The ambient light drops by a factor of ten each row. Tube performance follows it down. The digital figure is CEBAR's published human detection range, and it does not move.

The line

Every model lists all three range figures — detect, recognise and identify. Most listings quote the biggest number and let you assume it means identification.

Before you order

Night vision and thermal devices are export-controlled. They may not be taken, shipped or carried outside the United States without the proper authorisation, and we ship to US addresses only. Some states and some game departments restrict the use of night vision or thermal optics for hunting — the rules differ by state, by species and by season.

Check your state and local law before you buy. Nothing on this page is legal advice, and the buyer is responsible for lawful use.

Allow up to 6 weeks for Spectronight shipping.
